THEOREM OF PARALLEL AXIS

According to the Theorem of parallel axis: I _AB= I _G+ A x h ²,

I _G = moment of inertia of given area about an axis passing through C.G. of the area.

A = Area of section

I _AB= moment of area of given area about axis AB, which is parallel to the axis passing through G

h = distance between the axis passing through G and axis AB.
