BUCK MODULUS

When a body is subjected to the mutually perpendicular like and equal direct stresses, the ratio of direct stress to corresponding volumetric strain is found to be constants for a given material when the deformation in certain limit. The ratio is known as buck modulus.

It is denoted by K.

K= Direct stress/volumetric stress
